After payment is received for your child’s spot in camp, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will include a link to the required registration form. Please complete this form and send it back to us as soon as possible. The completed registration forms can be sent to our Camp Director, Samantha Hearn, at belmontswcd.edu@gmail.com.
If you have multiple children you will have to preform a separate transaction for each participant.
Please note that your child is not officially registered for camp until both payment and the completed registration form have been received.
Camp WILD is an outdoor youth camp where kids can Wander, Investigate, Learn and Discover in nature!
Participants must be at least 8 years old by June 17th and no older than 13 years old.
The cost to participate is $50. Online payment can be submitted on our Event Registration page.
Registration is required.
The first 20 eligible campers to submit their registration form and payment will be accepted. You will receive a confirmation call/email when your camper has successfully been registered.
There will be at least 3 chaperones with the kids at all times.
Campers may be dropped off at the Barkcamp State Park, Group Camp Area at 9:00am on June 17th and picked up on June 18th at the Group Camp Area at 11am.
If you will be dropping off or picking up your camper at any time other than the designated times, you need to inform us.
All meals will be provided.
Please make sure your camper is dressed in clothes that can get dirty and appropriate footwear.
Your camper will need to bring their own tent, sleeping bag, pillow, extra clothes, sunblock, bug spray, towels, swimsuit and extra snacks.
There are shower houses available.
Camp Schedule:
Day 1 – Campers will learn about bees, basic navigation, basic first aid, and forestry. They will also be hiking, fishing, canoeing, and camping overnight.
Day 2 – Campers will learn about paleontology.
